This is what I was thinking...parking near the hospital runs $30 a month and a bus pass costs you the same. I've been paying cash for the bus at about $2.50 a day, or $12.50 a week. At that price, I can buy something like this:

Wow! That *is* cool!! Will you ride it in the street?
I rode it to work today and did a combination of road and sidewalk (and alleyway). It's easiest on the street, but we have some good sidewalks for the purpose too.
At least one person at work wants to get one. She, like me, only works about 2 miles from home.
I still need to work out how to lock it up, but there is a bike rack close to my office.
